retracted

Robert loughran 1962 (Ireland)

It was easy to see she wore the pants, the trousers and the braces.
Id show up assume my place and contort  the appropriate faces.
It was widely known ,but softly shown ,she carried her claws retracted.
All went smooth as her every wish was obligingly exacted.
All in all I'm a happy man
at least when she is permitting
she calls the shots and that's my lot and regardless I'm still smitten.

I really enjoyed reading your poem! The imagery and use of words really painted a picture of a dynamic and interesting relationship. The rhyme scheme was clever and added to the flow of the poem. The theme of a strong and confident woman taking charge was empowering and refreshing to read.

One suggestion for improvement could be to add more specific details or examples to further enhance the emotions and experiences described in the poem. This could help readers connect even more deeply with the characters and their relationship dynamics. Overall, great job capturing a complex and intriguing dynamic in your writing! Keep up the good work!
