Grace

Grace

I think, I reflect upon myself.

Am I a good person or am I bad?

I am a sinner but through God’s grace I am saved.

The Spirit urges me do be better, but I struggle.

I want to be closer to God.

I am a Christian and through his grace I shine.

My heart yearns for something I cannot describe.

Is it loneliness or is it just anger at myself.

My stomach is always tight and nervous.

I think it is the enemy battling my path.

My gracious Lord is still with me although I deserve it not.

I pray to you now my Lord please help my fight with the enemy.

I don’t deserve to ask Lord but please help my heart and give me strength.

Even when I didn’t know it you have been at my side.

Again, I thank you for Your unending grace.

I am never alone with you in my heart.

About this poem

I am a Christian and just was praying and self reflecting when I wrote this. When I write and see my thought on paper it helps my focus on what I am trying to accomplish. I cleaned up my scribbles and this was the result. I don’t know if it’s any good but it’s at the very least honest.
