An Old Man's Wisdom

In the twilight years, a wisdom lies,
In weathered lines and thoughtful eyes.
The old man's heart, a fount of grace,
Holds truths that time cannot erase.

Through life's tempests, he has sailed,
And gathered lessons, oft regaled.
His voice, a soft and steady guide,
Shares wisdom born of time's long tide.

He speaks of love, of loss, of gain,
And weaves a tapestry of pain.
Yet in his words, a hope does gleam,
A beacon in life's winding stream.

He tells of days both bright and gray,
And how the sun will light the way.
Each wrinkle holds a whispered tale,
Of resilience that cannot fail.

So let us heed the old man's voice,
And in his wisdom, we rejoice.
For in his years, a truth refined,
A beacon for the seeking mind.
