The Game Is To Be Sold Not Told

The Game Is To Be Sold Not Told
By Robert T. Davenport

In this realm of life's grand stage,
Where wisdom's sought and battles waged,
There lies a truth, untold, yet bold,
A game to be sold, not merely told.

For knowledge, my friend, is a precious gem,
A treasure sought by many, but found by them
Who dare to venture beyond mere words,
To grasp the essence, where wisdom girds.

In this game of life, we all must play,
But the rules are hidden, concealed away,
It's not enough to listen, to hear the tale,
For true understanding, one must prevail.

The game is to be sold, not merely told,
For secrets lie within, waiting to unfold,
It's in the actions, the choices we make,
That the path to enlightenment we undertake.

No amount of preaching, no sermon or speech,
Can unlock the doors that wisdom can breach,
It's in the doing, the living, the strife,
That we uncover the meaning, the purpose of life.

So, my friend, heed this powerful call,
Embrace the challenge, stand tall and enthralled,
For the game is to be sold, not merely told,
And in its pursuit, true enlightenment unfolds.

Seek not the easy path, the shortcuts or cheats,
But delve deep within, where true knowledge meets,
For it's in the struggle, the sweat and the grind,
That the game reveals its secrets, one of a kind.

So, let us embark on this journey untold,
With courage and passion, our spirits unfold,
For the game is to be sold, not merely told,
And in its pursuit, our souls shall be bold.
