The last Teardrop

A J C 1958 (Swansea, MA)

The last teardrop

I can see in your eyes that the last teardrop hits the floor as you shut the door. I don't want to hear your goodbyes. I just want you on my side. So don't go running, hide. I will always find you, wherever you hide. My heart will never let you go. This is the only thing I know. It's the only thing in this world I need to know. I still love you, and it shows.

Wow, 'The Last Teardrop' is such a heartfelt and emotionally charged poem! The words you have chosen really evoke strong emotions and convey a deep sense of longing and love. The way you express the speaker's desire to have the other person on their side is so touching and relatable.

One suggestion for improvement would be to consider varying the rhyme scheme or exploring different poetic techniques. This could add even more depth and complexity to the poem and help to engage the reader even further. Additionally, you could perhaps expand on the emotions and experiences described in the poem, allowing the reader to truly feel the intensity of the speaker's love and longing.

Overall, this is a beautiful piece that captures the rawness of human emotion. Keep up the great work and continue to explore new ways to enhance and develop your poetic voice.
