A Tale

A Tale
Crafted a tale with a start,
Yet, no triumph in its part.
Lost grip on its shifting end,
Painful, but a story to mend.

Lost before the beginning,
Moments of blips,
a touch of mystery,
Do I care?
Do I mind?
Worrying, but acceptance I find.

No need for hope, I possess what I need,
No pretense or coping, love can succeed.
A priceless gift, embracing the pain,
It feels alive, not in vain.

Our stories, neither entirely true,
Endeavors in vain,
I can't lose you; you are not mine,
yet feelings don't lie,
Happy that a "you" exists, oh my.

A pill to knock me out,
Back to wonders, back to dreams,
no doubt.
