Emojis

Emojis

Screens and devices amplify isolation,
Squandering earthly moments in desolation.
Lost in the void, missing history's trace,
Digital "friends," no genuine embrace.

Emojis convey what words can't express,
A language of emotions, a digital address.
Unable to fathom, I'm sad, I'm angry,
Contemplating the end, feelings tangy.

Then, love found me in this digital sphere,
The queen, not in texts, but in swipes clear.

Sprinkling Emojis like icing on the cake,

Attachments and paraphrases, she's my guide,
Hooked, I traded heartbeats for batteries inside.

Made in China,

…my life's new refrain,
Staring at the screen, patience is my gain.
Will she text? Is she alive? I wait,
In this digital dance, my heart's uncertain state
