In the Halls A Passion Burns

In the quiet halls where time gently treads,
Amongst whispered echoes and shadowed threads,
I met a soul, timeless as the moon's soft glow,
For, in your eyes, ages ebb and flow.

With a spirit young, in years rich and wise,
You wear the centuries as a clever disguise.
In building's veins, where my days unfold,
Your laughter rings, stories untold.

A heart that beats with vivacious fire,
Igniting in me an unspoken desire.
The world sees numbers, a chasm so wide,
But in your presence, such norms I deride.

You are a woman of eras past,
Yet in your gaze, youth forever cast.
Your solitude, a fortress you've lovingly built,
Yet in your smile, my reservations wilt.

You flirt with a grace, a dance so sublime,
Leaving me to wonder, is this our time?
A maintenance man, in age but a youth,
Yet for you, my heart speaks an ancient truth.

In the quiet of your home, a haven so sweet,
Two souls could meet, discreetly, in loving retreat.
Just a few days a week, to stoke the flame,
In each other's company, a fire to reclaim.

For in your autumn, and my spring,
There's a song of the ages, waiting to sing.
A tale of a passion, transcendent and bold,
In the warmth of your world, I find my hold.

So, for you with a fire that rivals the stars,
In the quiet of your home, let's heal our scars.
In the tender embrace of a passion that's new,
I find my forever, timeless, with you.

Beautiful poem. Too me age never mattered. It's the love.
