My Chosen Child

I did not give birth to you
But I heard your first cry.
I have loved you from that moment,
And for you, I would die.
Son of my heart
My child by choice.
The oldest of my children,
One of the greatest of my joys.
My blessed child.
My God Given gift.
The kindness you show others
Rarely exists.
I Thank God every day that
He placed you in our lives.
Our son, our Jamie,
the apple of our eyes.
