Someone Dear to Me

Patrick Wade 1948 (Michigan)

In a land of far off dreams,
Like the rivers and the streams;
I find myself running free,
Traveling without any means.

Not knowing where I’m bound,
But always looking for new ground,
Maybe someday I’ll settle down,
And find someone to be around.

For in life it’s plain to see,
That no one can truly be;
By themselves without a cause,
So, come listen to me.

Since I found someone dear to me,
I can truly say I’ll always be
Happy and cheerful everyday,
My life now is changed for all to see.
