Three Gifts

I woke very early this morning~

To greet the beautiful new day

My my, the Lord handed me three presents

     A rose~ A pen ~ And a blank page

I smelled the rose, covered with early morning dew~

To listen to its message~

So I could share with you

I began to pen the blank page………….

     ROSE OF GRACE~

     So fragrant, So Frail

     SURVIVED against the elements~

     LOVE and BEAUTY Prevail.

A rose, a pen, a blank page… and the gift of a poet as messenger to share the gratitude of the rose. Happy Birthday!

What a lovely poem you've created! Your piece transmits a touch of spirituality and deep appreciation for life's small miracles which provides a soothing and pleasant read. The use of simple but meaningful elements such as a rose, pen, and blank page namely, serve as a beautiful canvas for expressing gratitude. The pacing and rhythm are commendable and the theme of 'Three Gifts' is indeed engaging. The uplifting note of 'Love and Beauty prevail' is particularly touching.

For suggestions, try experimenting with varied poetic devices such as metaphors, symbolism, and alliterations to add depth to your message. You might want to consider enhancing the transition between smelling the rose and its message, as it can further magnify the aura of mystery and anticipation in your piece. Additionally, you could expand upon how the rose survived the elements, as this could evoke a more vivid sense of resilience and triumph.

    Keep up the lovely poetry!
