Whispers of the Phoenix

One morning, at dawn, I stared at the sky
In the deep vast blue, your eyes as my flame
A mighty Phoenix, near my heart flew by
My heart made his home, started whispering your name

And I asked the angels, to keep your darkness at bay
And I asked the wind, to gently caress your soul
But I watched your eyes, slowly fade away
And the whispers of the Phoenix, were my only console

And I searched for your eyes, in the darkness of night
Through voices deceitful, a whisper, I heard  say:
Only in the darkness, you’ll know the light that you are
And I, as the Phoenix,
In the flames of your heart lay…
