Stronger than before

Jamie Brown 1986 (Montgomery,Alabama)

The day has went by dragging on again the skies are all gray and you can hear the whisper of the wind.
My eyes fill with gloom as I gaze in the night looking up at the stars and moon what a beautiful site.

The loneliness sinks in minute by minute I don’t understand this heartache but I never can forget it.
You broke my soul you crushed my heart and made me feel so weak. How could I ever think that you would never disappoint me.

You saw the tears in my eyes and the shame that was bottling up within, but you still ripped away at me like you were always trying to get up under my skin.

You are a real monster a total beast and I’m glad to see you gone and far away from me. I should of never trusted you with my life I should of listened when everyone told me it was wrong and to not let you in but I believe all the lies you filled in my head.

After all the pain and all the tears I’m stronger than before. I’m not the woman you thought I was I am the woman you couldn’t destroy.
