Tides of Vigilance

In a world of endless waves, wet sand on bare feet and salty air she stands, A lone figure against the ocean’s expansive waves crashing and waves of calmness.
Her eyes scan the horizon with a vigilant gaze, Always trying to foresee the storm’s advances.

Her mind races with the tide,
Up and Down it goes. Each wave a thought, a sad face crashing with might or a smile calm and smooth as glass.
Strategizing her escape with every up and down,
In the abyss of dreams and mindfulness, she finds her light. She is becoming aware of the wide ocean in all of its beauty!

But the ocean is a relentless foe,
Its undercurrents, echoes of a sinister shadow.
With every little thought of self, guilt does tow her down heavy,
Longing for a little freedom, yet betrayal’s always an undertow.

She yearns to claim her self, her essence, pure and bright,
Yet fear is always whispering of selfishness in the day and into the night.
With hope and dreams as her compass, she fights the dread,
In the sea of doubt, her courage is bred each day.

A dance with identity amidst waves of fright,
She’s always two steps ahead, in the gloom as he has forced her  power to strengthen, she finds the light!

My poem is about a woman’s inner turmoil and her journey of self-discovery amidst life’s challenges, symbolized by the ever-changing ocean. Through confronting fears and embracing self-awareness, she navigates through her emotional landscape, striving for self-acceptance and resilience against life’s relentless adversities.
