WALKING DEAD

mad hippie poet 1974 (new jersey)

They say, Son, keep running what you are going against; no one has ever won. I closed my eyes and told them to bite their foolish tongue and follow me, and I would show them how it is done. I get up every morning knowing that there will be blood, sweat, and dirt on my hands. They want a fight, knowing that with tears in my eyes, I'm a man with plenty of scars for a lot more wars.

The years keep passing me by, and I keep climbing that hill. I'm coming after what is mine. I'm going to have our fill another day, another battle. I know what they are trying to do with their every move. They are trying to get inside of my head. You can not scare a man who walks among the dead.

I fought many fights that have turned into battles. This battle has left me with many scars, leaving me one of the walking dead. Now, I answered the call to war.

Many nights go sleepless, and I'm restless thinking of both of our next steps, but so far, I have lived this blessing of mine without any regret. I am alive I am not like the rest. walking dead
