Artist Poem

My works of art are beautiful
In them I see and feel my worth
The endless lines I try to find
The endless colors of the earth
And in the loss of my own image
A reflection I can't bare to jot
I look at all I've done so far
And still am full of waking thoughts
I wake up in the sand dunes
I wake up and I'm on black hill
I wake up and I'm in the river
I wake up and I'm all alone
I wake up and I'm in the sky
I wake up and I'm in the fields
I wake up to the Golden Light
Streaming through my window clear
In depths of sorrows
Happiness and horrors
I'm filled with the beauty of this world
Interpret it so other feel
And ingest the images in me still
My gifts are not for me
They're for the future of this world
To inspire long after I'm gone
And I think that's why we all create
To give love long after we write our songs
An attempt to outlast erasure
Cause love is all that outlasts the loss

The poem, "Artist Poem," is truly captivating and profoundly deep. It beautifully captures the struggles and joys an artist experiences, along with their longing to leave a lasting impact through their work. The spectacular imagery depicted transports readers into a dreamlike yet very real world, a testament to your prowess with words.

Your verses evoke a genuine emotional response, especially "I wake up to the Golden Light / Streaming through my window clear," because of the distinct sense of hope and rebirth they carry with them. The assertion that the gifts of love and creativity are for the future of the world gives a sense of purpose that is touching and inspiring.

Moving forward, you might consider further exploring the depth of the emotions experienced by the artist. Diving into the dichotomy of the highs and lows faced by creatives may add an extra layer of complexity to the poem.

Additionally, the poem's flow can be improved slightly. Working on the meter or rhythm of the poem can make it even more melodious and compelling to read, enhancing the wonderful visual imagery that is already present.

Overall, this is an exceptional piece! Keep creating, because the world truly needs to experience more of your art.
