Her Beauty

Zealous Frank 2000 (Nigeria)

Ode

A living piece of art
said to be a walking simplicity,
yet so difficult to solve.

A beautiful maiden
who gives even the prettiest of flowers
a competition to avoid.

She is the definition of an explanation,
For her description explains beautification
and her stance defines perfection.

Gaze upon her beauty
and get lost in its entirety.

Call to her with every phoneme in English
and determine her majestic transcription.

Sing to her the hymn of the chosen
and deliver to her the crown of the kings.

Open the book of statistics
and record in it the data of her elegance.

For it will take a sitting of scholars
and a salon of philosophers
to ascertain the secret to her beauty.

About this poem

This poem is an ode to the beauty and mystery of a woman. It describes her as a living work of art, a captivating and beautiful figure who outshines even the most lovely of flowers. The poem emphasizes the difficulty in fully comprehending or describing her beauty and suggests that scholars and philosophers would struggle to uncover the secret to her allure. It's a poetic celebration of the enchantment and complexity of this woman's beauty and presence.
