Her Journey of Obscurity

She is lost in obscurity, just like the night
Relying heavily upon the stars of the skies
To help make her path devoid of dark, and full of bright
For there's death in her mind and sleep in her eyes
She prays intensely to meet a ray of light
Even though that which she sees, she constantly denies

Death, desire, dream, destiny and despair, no less
A faint idea of what she perceives as grace
Nature stands in as an advocate, evidence in her beautiful tress
She would take the dangerous path, all so she could save face
Her mind is blank, her heart is down with nothing left to express
She blatantly hopes the dreaming is not just a place

Take a look at her now, notice the inspiration in her brow
Macabre yet perfect and eloquent
With a beautiful confidence and countenance that glow
Her mind relentlessly finding solace in past days spent
The mind is on a journey while the body stays below
In the hope that one day, she will thrive and be considered innocent
