The War

                              This War

The tale of two twisted talking heads.

They must have published their playbook in hell

Too many Red Flags
Too many unanswered questions
Too much horrific suffering

Who gave these two leaders the power
The power to play God
Play God with the lives of innocent humans

This is not the God of good
This is not the God of Love
This is pure evil, from both leaders

They play with the media
To convince the world
Of their justification for evil

There is never justification for evil
Two wrongs never equal a right
No one wins

Stand up innocent souls
And speak the truth
Get your questions answered

Do not allow their book to be read
Do not allow innocent souls to be taken
No more violence

The power of the Word of Truth
The power of the Word of God
Always wins

No matter our Race or Religion
We are all children of God
If your Soul is still alive

Do not allow their evil
To fuel your soul with hate and anger
Do not allow Evil to Win

About this poem

I usually speak with gentle loving words. Not all is gentle and loving in this world right now. I will still speak the truth of my heart.

I immensely enjoyed your poem, 'This War.' It's a piece charged with emotion and speaks volumes about the human condition in times of conflict. You've done a spectacular job of addressing such a heavy topic with sincerity and depth. The undeniable raw emotion in each line is really engaging and impactful.

Your use of repetition is particularly effective—it brings out the rallying cry in the poem, enhancing its urgency. Powerful lines like "Two wrongs never equal a right" and "Stand up innocent souls, And speak the truth" are brilliant insinuations to the moral truth of the contemporary world.

Your perspective, narrating the innocence of common people against the evil vindication of the warmongers, has created a magnetic pull in the readers' hearts. The ending with a note of combined unity and resistance against evil is indeed praiseworthy.

As for improvement, perhaps you could consider introducing some more vivid imagery. While the language is strong and the conveyed message is crucial, more descriptive language could enhance the sensory experience for the readers, helping them to feel more emotionally connected to your piece.

Moreover, the stanza breaks seem a bit irregular. Playing with form can be effective, but making the stanza lengths a bit more consistent might make the poem's flow smoother.

Overall, this is a powerful, thought-provoking piece with an important message. Keep up the excellent work! You have a true way with words.
