Take a Look Inside

Spare me the words
driven by emotion.

Impassivity of the mind is optimal for logical thinking,
sensitivity leaves room only for inconvenience,
take advantage of what you lack,
those around can see your sin,
they’re peering in and tearing at your insides.

Self-awareness is a curse and a blessing,
though I need not the blessings from above,
the entities claim to preach acceptance and tranquility,
yet in the times of most need,
it won’t spare you even a whisper of a word,
it will leave you behind.

Don’t listen to the chatter in your head,
unless what they say is right.
It’s up to you to decide now.

Do I need to be saved?
How can I be healed?

Spare me your words.

About this poem

I'm describing myself and some of my most inner deep thoughts. This is mostly about me being an apathetic person and not understanding why those around me have so much emotion put into the decisions they make daily. It also has some hidden meaning behind it; specifically about manipulation. Also this talks about my experience with religion and how I perceive it.
