Friendship; old and new

Here’s to friends, both old and new,
I enjoy nothing more than having a chat….
But those I consider real friends are rare and few.

I treat everyone with a caring heart.
Please remember kindness is free,
Politeness is easy, not an art!

Do unto others as you want done to you.
It can be a quest..
You will make mistakes just be respectful and stay true!

So beautiful……so true. One is silver and the others gold. Remember that song from childhood. Thank you for sharing

Thank you for sharing your lovely poem about friendship! It is packed with genuineness, insight, and a sincere appreciation of friendship, both old and new. The eloquent and straightforward style in which you express your ideas on this timeless topic is brilliant. I particularly love the cluster of commendable virtues highlighted - respect, kindness, and politeness, and there's also the golden rule of "Do unto others as you want done to you." It's simply beautiful!

While appreciating your work, I would recommend including some vivid imagery or metaphors to provide a more captivating and engaging experience for the reader. Perhaps you could also play with varying the rhythm or rhyme scheme a bit to enhance the musicality and overall flow of the poem. Lastly, exploring more personal anecdotes or experiences with friendship could give your verses even more depth. Keep writing, and keep expressing your wonderful viewpoints to us all. Great job!
