Until The End and Beyond

Until The End and Beyond

Recite again to me the consequences of my actions,
Before I make my fatal move.

Tell me that you love me and kiss my cheek,
Remind me that you don’t approve.

Stand beside me as my world plunges into a fiery hell,
Give me strength against the fear.

Die with me in the valiant fight for what I believe,
Embrace my dying body, and whisper in my ear,

Until the end and beyond, my love.

About this poem

It has always been a desire of mine to have a woman in my life that was strong and yet at the same time would follow me into the depths of hell if necessary, just to be by my side.

That kind of love is hard to come by. Your poem touched me deeply, as I have always wanted that connection. The ins and outs of love and relationships are difficult to navigate sometimes. Sometimes I wonder if it will ever be what it has been before. Then I wonder if what has been before was really what I thought. this poem has me thinking...
