Blues traveler

Charles Fields II 1955 (Fort Bragg, NC)

A fellow traveler
in this space and time,

tasting of love and life

just a old friend
with all of you in mind

i've got a window seat
on this life train...

Which if you do not believe in love
is a train to Hell

Loving one another, saves us...
Leads us to another place

where we may share
our hopes and dreams

Will you meet me there,
my friend?

i am sure you will recognize
all your brothers and sisters

with a peace of mind,
to be relieved part of your burden.

We can share our visions and prayers,
You might even like the view.

Looking to the heavens for a sign
Maybe even get the blues, sometimes

Moaning to the wind an ancient song
Doing a love dance with all of you in truth

Hoping, you will feel a spark in your heart,
being True to love true to life,

knowing trials will come And go,
 sometimes we will fail the tests;

we get knocked down.

Just as it seems all hope is lost
Our prayers may be answered

In the darkest hour
we escape destruction

Knowing,
just what to do...

Give one another…
a helping hand
