In visions beyond these

Charles Fields II 1955 (Fort Bragg, NC)

We’re drifting

here

together

Through these

shifting twilight fields
Of distant star streams

Following the currents of the flow
Of universal tides of being

time

space

While listening
to singing stellar winds

Do we hear
the orchestra of eternity?

A slow-motion trill of violins

Creating spiritual vibrations
which resonate within our souls

Much to our hearts delight

as we lose brief moments
to distraction

from the harsh reality
of life

All the while
intently tending our course

Steering our hearts-voice
by souls choice

To the core of the universe
as its falling through eternity

is sparked with glimpses
of hopes and fears

And solemn tears

as our candle of life burns
Towards its inevitable conclusion

Simultaneously
dispelling the illusion

As our rear-view mirror
souls

Employ afterlife recall
between us

And the chain-reaction
of our spirits

Call to us
from a Godly place

Through visions

prophesy

dreams

Be it mythology

religiosity

or miracles

Answers
all but lost

Within
our dreams
