In the Deep

As i look
over the river valley.

An inner voice calling,
inspiring something yet unseen

a depth perception
carries me beyond.

As senses fly
over faraway hills,

fields, forests deep,

seasonal fireflies
signaling,

a pursuit of sorts,
cohorts looking

for love

for survival
of generations

extended
or life is lost.

This means
to an end

is not for sport
pretend

As if to portray
mirror echoes of the stars

A group of deer,
cautiously appear

at forest edge,
before cautiously

wading across
a moonlit stream.

Far beyond the universe
beyond we can see

Jupiter and Mars.
A spark of love

between you
 i

Blossoms
in our hearts

whenever thoughts of your presence
come to mind,

as reflections of loves attraction
echo through our every interaction

Project my teardrops
focused with intent.

When i cannot be there,
though knowing that you got this,

when we meet.

Attraction,
too strong to resist

take hold,
we embrace

emotions pour

through the space
between us,

sealed with a kiss...

As i whisper
the sweet question

which piques
your interest

speaks to me
of honorable intentions.

Looking back to creation

Reaching
the elemental connection

In the spirit pool
with loyalty and affection,

Reinforced
we speak as one voice,

though Life
can be full of ill effects...

Still, more unpleasant surprises
add new dimensions To our lives.

Raising children,
through the hell

of Infinitively varied definitions
of challenges.

Like winters fiery blast

with frost and gale in tow,

killing winds,
icy chill

closing fast
with nowhere left

to go

Now time to launch
into the wind.

Rewind the clock.

Break all the locks.

Redesign the process,

From the bottom,

back ...to the top

Extend your will,
beyond the horizon,

we who are sons
and daughters

of the sun.

We who must
throughout existence,

keep moving on

crossing time
space

throughout eternity
in motion

Between
the star fields,

swept across
the universe

of you and i

keeping faith
in one another

or in failure
to do so,

suffering …

written in blood
and sand

sung by
wind and trees,

swept over
oceans

of those
who’d never

would sell
one’s soul

in surrender

even if they fall
in battle,

die
and their bones

are dispersed.

Lost to the bottom
of the deep

rolling with the tides
unto forever

to a point
between the stars

As revolving galaxies
sparkle in reply

With freedom
which never dies.

In answer, from
the deep
