It's In Her Eyes

A look into her eyes,
Is to see, a life unfold.
A thousand smiling rainbows,
Each ending, with a pot of gold.

A vision of love and caring,
As if a mother, to the human race.
Arms wide open and reaching out,
A comforting glow, about her face.

The determination of a single sparrow,
Building a home, from blades of grass.
Refuge for the ones she loves,
Protection, until the danger has passed.

The passions of a romantic warrior,
Robust calls, to God above.
A battle cry from the sensations,
Loving life, and living love.

I see a soul of many colors,
Guiding a heart, that seems so pure.
Her beauty is also on the inside,
A look into her eyes, will say for sure.

About this poem

Coming out of a very destructive relationship, I was looking deeper into the eyes of the ladies in the relationships afterwards. There are indeed some beautiful ladies in the world, and it is so much more special when they are beautiful on the inside as well.

Raised on a small farm outside of a small town in Texas, I was no stranger to work. It is this work ethic that has propelled my professional success but there is this other side of me. The side that deeply thinks about things. The side with an imagination and a desire to use my hands for more than just brute physical labor. more…
