Wasted

*Starts with a shot and a drink, to set the mood just right!

*Another shot, another drink followed by a bowl of weed & a cigarette thats the my routine at night!

*Wasted cause you dont wanna show emotions or any weakness!

*Numbing all the sad feelings, masked with a smile in her own uniqueness!

*Loss is apart of life that we know, getting closer to the light!

*Another shot, another drink, more smoke just wanna feel closer to you & keep up this fight!

*Anything to take this pain away, another shot, drink, & more smoke the darkness is following me forever!

*Some days i can find the light at the end of the darkness, somedays seems darker follows me where i go!

*Wasted to try to ignore the darkness, more drinks an music going loudly, another cigarette and a bowl to go with this flow!

*Life is to short and anything can happen, one minute everything can be completely alright, and the next you get that call that family passed away!

*Another shot, another drink, another round to toast the dead, honoring memories of those we've lost, red dirt road is the song i play!

*Budwiser please and a shot jack too, make it 2 one shot for me and the second one is for you!

*Wasted because it was your favorite thing to do, playing a game of darts you beat me again another round or two!

*Doing this because in a way, makes me feel closer to you, Brother i miss you every damn day, when will this pain subside, i can barely get through!

I feel this poem, and the pain behind it. I imagine that the drinking helped numb the loss a little while the reminiscing brought sadness and comfort. Would you mind if I ask: does writing poetry help with with pain as well?
