Fantasy Love's Chase
Tammie Swinehart 1974 (Mooresville, IN)
In realms where dreams take wing on whispered sighs,
A tale unfolds of love's elusive ties.
Two souls entwined in fantasy's embrace,
Yet one remains a distant, hidden grace.
A heart aflame with longing's fiery hue,
Chasing shadows, hoping to break through,
In twilight's dance, where stars begin to gleam,
One heart reaches out, while one remains a dream.
A wistful figure, ethereal and fair,
A visage bathed in moonlight's tender glare,
The seeker's steps, like petals on the breeze,
A symphony of longing through the trees.
But in this realm, where yearning meets the night,
The dreamer's voice is but a fleeting light,
Each whispered word, a ripple in the air,
Yet the distant heart seems not to hear or care.
Oh, the chaser's steps are marked with grace,
A delicate pursuit in this enchanted place,
Yet the elusive heart, like a phantom's wisp,
Dances just beyond the chaser's fingertips.
With every dawn that paints the skies anew,
The chaser's hopes remain steadfast and true,
A silent echo of a heart's refrain,
Yet the distant heart remains unmoved, unchanged.
Is this a tale of love's unending quest,
Or a fantasy woven by dreams' unrest?
A dance of hearts, forever out of sync,
One reaching out, the other on the brink.
In realms of fantasy, love's story's told,
A tapestry of emotions, both young and old,
A chaser's heart, a distant heart entwined,
A love unspoken, yet forever bind.
