SHH IT IS TIME TO TALK

mad hippie poet 1974 (new jersey)

SHHH, we can not whisper those words they say like it's some family secret, yet it is my curse. SHH, You do not want people to hear you have gone mad again. Shh, you can not tell anyone. It will surely be your end.

Why can we not talk about mental illness? How is still uncomfortable to talk about we finally accepted different races and sexualities, but why can we not take people who suffer inside of their heads and get so worried that it feels like their hearts will beat out of their chests or those who have different personalities shit people we are just like the rest of you.

SHH, you are upsetting us. You are making us feel uncomfortable hell, how do you think we feel in our skin when there are those times we go mad? We go into a panic.

We talk about every fucking trivial thing but this. We are not asking for you to bring us flowers. We are asking to talk about it so you all understand the thoughts and feelings inside our heads, maybe say we got this. Let me hug you.

Shh is for the library, not for reality. For people with mental illness, it is about time we listen while others speak out for help. Don't judge us because you can not handle half the shit we go through daily.
