Eevie Kenevie

Eevie Kenevie
She’s oh so sweet, you can believe me
My bud, my pup, she fits in a cup
Her paws like claws, she draws
You in and then you win
Her love and affection – It flows. . .
Because she knows
She is loved and adored, our bond above board
She runs, she waggles, she chases those geese in a gaggle

    Positive Feedback:
A remarkable poem indeed! Your playful choice of words and a solid rhythm really make the piece engaging and fun. The way you've personified Eevie Kenevie is absolutely delightful. Beautiful lines such as "Her paws like claws, she draws", adds a lovely imagery and it just rolls off the tongue! The bond and love between you both read so authentic and heartwarming.

    Suggestions for Improvements:
Although the poem reads effectively as it stands, for further expansion, you might want to include some sensory details and a little bit more of imagery so readers can better visualize this adorable character. Moreover, the last line's rhythm seems to be little off when compared to the rest of the poem, maybe it can be reconsidered and tweaked for consistency. Lastly, be careful not to shift abruptly from singular to plural forms such as “we run, we waggle, we chase...” after predominantly speaking about Eevie Kenevie in singular. Can't wait to read more of your work!
