The Mystery of the Mind

The mind,
So empty,
Yet so full of chaos.

You try to relax,
But thoughts and memories won't leave you be.

Perhaps meditation is the key,
But it doesn't work,
As it only steers away the chaos for a while,
And leaves you feeling awful.

Are thoughts to blame?
Are memories?
Or perhaps both?

The mind is so vast,
We may never know what's to blame.

What's the root of our thoughts?
What about our memories?
Is it our pain?
Is it our strength?
Or perhaps our emotions?
