The Brothers of Arabia

We were born of the desert,
One  from the north,
Other from the south,
The Arabian gulf in between,
Kept our destinies at bay,
For the correct moment in time,
When we would cross each others path.

We grew into young boys,
We shared the blood relations,
We shared the ceremonial gatherings,
We shared space and time,
But the time had not yet come for,
Our futures to be entwined.

As time passed us by ,
We boys became men,
Eager to test the winds of fortune,
Not knowing what lay ahead,
We walked into each other's arms,
Yet again in the desert,
Sharing an instant bond,
In mutually unknown territory.

And so it began,
The saga of friendship,
The tryst of loyalty,
Not easily tainted by adversity,
But firmly shielded by the Almighty's affection,
For we had undoubtedly become,
The Brothers of Arabia.
