Fighting Fire with Divine Fyre

Jamie Tierney 1991 (Cardiff)

Mistaking divine love and compassion for weakness,
Greater ones light the greater shadow cast,
Advantage over one’s self-love leaves you powerless,
Mirroring lessons to develop by removing mask,
Becoming face to face to own demons,
Disguised strength that unfolds creates abyss,
Chasm that bombards, penetrates through all legions.

Healing aura soft but when provoked deadly,
When will beings learn to love themselves,
Projecting trauma presents need of healing absent-mindedly,
Numbers count for nothing in personal exclaves,
When Introspection unfolds realisation you’re own enemy,
Distraction from growth into feeble desired pleasure,
Seeking in others instead of sacred geometry.

Standing in ones truth and own power,
Provides the key to ones soul vault,
Relate and compare to lotus flower,
Shall come to conclusion whose at fault,
One with cosmos leads where you seek,
Authenticity is dream that you owe yourself,
Heal soul wounds or continue inner shriek.

About this poem

The only difference between light and dark warriors, is that the light doesn’t hide within the shadows.
