The Rose Dichotomy

There was a man who saw a rose.
He plucked and put it to his nose,
Then slowly smelled its fragrance, so
He hated that he had to go!

A second man saw roses too.
He bent over to pick a few,
But cut his finger on a thorn,
Which filled his heart with so much scorn!

It's fascinating two can see
The same thing and yet one might be
Quite glad and wish that he could stay,
While the other quickly turns away.

Yes, the rose that to so many is sweet and beautiful but then it has its threatening thorns.
By the way, the man who had to go, who could have taken the rose with him. It was already plucked; thus he had not to leave it behind.
