The Blinking Clouds

Outside at night I saw a sight
With Shiloh in the yard.
I tried to see above the tree,
But clouds made it quite hard

As I was thinking, clouds were blinking;
Moving through the sky.
To my surprise I realized
What just had "caught my eye".

Its engine sound was floating down
And seemed to move quite fast.
I tried in vain to see the plane
And hope the sight would last.
