Affirming Action

Affirmative action.
To affirm it.
With a taking of it shown.
As fact of an act,
Confirmed affirmatively.
Should make little difference,
To anyone who knows...
Affirming an action to document.
Is as if to ammend the Ten Commandments,
To omit or restrict to limits,
The intended meaning...
Of all it as one document
No one obeys to follow.
And yet...
When the action takes place.
Those who become most upset,
Are the ones claiming to have regrets.
Of an action,
That has left no proof of evidence...
A changing of a window dressing to impress,
Will have an affect on those...
Addicted to hypocrisy and kept pretensions.

When effective respect given,
In action to confirm it.
And liars deceiving,
To betray and commit treason ends.
With this affirmed to witness as fact?
Affirmative action is just another perception,
Of a concept.
On paper.

Paper made from trees.
Trees people take for granted.
Until the air without the trees,
Leaves no one to breathe independently.

People making decisions,
Without common sense to use?
Do more to destroy their own quality if life.
To perceive themselves,
Left to become the benefactors.
And this they will inherit,
When judging who among them were fools.
Exclusively living to believe,
Decisions they have made has created...
Their own misery wishing,
Mistakes to have made disappear in thin air.

'What about the many denied opportunities,
Purposely?'

'Well...
I had been told I was over qualified,
For a position in my own community.
By someone incompetent,
Living outside of my community.
But had been related to the one who sought,
Government funding.
To bring an educational experience to others,
Living in the inner city.'

'Sooo...
What does this say about Affirmative Action?'

'That depends on the action being affirmed.'
