Obscene Caller

True love to wish and want with another.
To discover like none other before.
Coming to have that one special key,
That unlocks the door to one's heart.
As if to lift one's feet up off the floor.
With more to adventure.
Leaving nothing left to go unexplored.

May seem to many,
Such a foolish impossible dream.
Yet to hopeless romantics,
Like...
Some can be.
Desperate to be held and touched.
Anything is possible.

And then without warning.
Disturbing a frequent wish to miss,
That elusive deluded love.
While laying alone in bed.
The telephone rings.

'Hellooo.
Do you have any idea what time it is?
This better be an emergency.
And I do mean,
Riddled with urgency.
I...
WHAT!
You disgusting, lowlife.
I can not believe...
Hold on.
Are you...
And please don't take this the wrong way.
Are you one of those,
Nasty talking obscene callers?'

'Yes. Why?'

'Do you take requests?
Or filthy suggestions made?
Just curious.
Don't take it personal.'

'Look...
I am an obscene caller.
You...
On the other hand,
Should be ashamed of yourself.'

'I know.
But...
You caught me feeling inappropriate.
And at this hour,
I could benefit from your services.
Forgive me for interrupting.
Now...
Say what you said,
When I answered my phone.
Something about places to put faces.'

'I can't believe this.
Are you nuts?
I will not be calling you back.
What a time waster.
People like you need prayer in your life!'

'I...
No you didn't hang up on me!
Folks today?
So disrespectful.
