Not One New to Misunderstandings

I am not one new to misunderstandings.
Or mistakes by others admitting them.
To forgive and forget.
However...
Many live to want and wish,
Their own way to get and have it.
Done yet not to expect.
A doing did to do,
Produced the opposite effect.

Instead of admitting,
Their own mistakes to have made.
Immediately,
They abandon that train.
Taken on the wrong track.
And warned they were creating,
Their own pain from the start.

And when they realize,
Their actions alone to condone...
Had nothing to do with anyone else.
To begin to fall apart.
Breaking their own hearts?
Accusations to fault and blame others is done.
For what they did but not to do.
With a showing of empathy.
Or coming to their aid to provide rescue.
As if to care less to express concern.
To have heard it from others,
That a selfishness to keep that way...
More reflects an evilness kept.
And no one who has 'Christian' values,
Would allow themselves to ignore...
Someone in need.
Especially when it is known to be shown,
The obviousness of their dilemma.

'How can one like you be so selfish?
As if no one else exists but you!'

'Whose version of this tale are you telling?
And from where,
Did you get that point of view?'

'Me?
I am a listener.
I don't have to be a witness to observe,
The truth and facts...
About what actually happened.
And besides,
I am a devoted and faithful Christian!'

'With a rushing to believe,
Anything that you are told.'

'I...uh...what?'

'A believer!'

'OH.
Yes.
Yes, of course.'

'And, I am not one new,
To misunderstandings, either.'
