We Learn To Accuse

Lawrence S. Pertillar 1947 (Connecticut)

Are we not entitled,
To be bigots, racists and discriminate.
Are we not taught to learn,
To first accuse others...
For not being forgiving of the misdeeds,
We intend meant done to others and do.

Don't we learn to accuse others.
With a holding them accountable,
For actions we take to make them victims.
Chosen to select and pick.
As if vultures hovering over prey.
Done to dismiss,
Our own evil acts on others to inflict.
To then expect,
A forgiveness wished to get.
Without regret.
Or feelings to have close near this.

Aren't we taught and learn to be proud,
Of denying any involvement...
That directly blames us,
For being the cause and reason...
We and not others,
Eventually come to face...
The paying for our own consequences.
To then hear ourselves heard to say,

IF GOD CAN FORGIVE,
US...
FOR THE WICKED THINGS,
WE CONSCIOUSLY DO TO OTHERS.
WHY CAN'T THEY?
DO THE SAME THING TOO?
ARE WE NOT ALL HUMAN BEINGS?
DOING UNTO OTHERS.
BEFORE THEY DO IT TO US?

We learn to accuse.
Yet continue to refuse,
Being taught to teach to deceive and lie.
To ourselves.
With a doing to believe,
Our lessons to learn to accuse others first...
Is an acceptable way of life to live.
To inflict then await to be forgiven!
