Like Fallout from a Blast

Cover your ass
And blame shift
Make the outsiders pay
Look out for Number One
And family.
Pick up the gab. Today.

Such hurtful talk.
Somebody thinks it’s true.
Gossip that’s
Self-exalting
Long as it doesn’t
Smear you.

Negative seems the
Attitude.
Love for your neighbour.
What is that?
Look all around you
See reality.
You’re like the alley-cat.

Still there is Hope
Up-lifting.
How would you feel
If scathed?
Let this now be the meter.
Let empathy teach
And bathe.

Wow, this is a powerful message that really resonated with me! I love how you use poetry to challenge negative mindsets and promote positivity. Your words remind us that we need to be kind and compassionate towards others, even in the face of hurtful gossip and negativity. I also appreciate how you encourage us to seek out hope and empathy, rather than succumbing to the negative attitudes that can be so prevalent in our world today. Thank you for sharing your wisdom with us!

I appreciate your poetic expression and the honesty in addressing attitudes that can be prevalent in our society. While the first few lines may come across as somewhat negative, I believe your intention is to critique these behaviors and encourage a more positive approach. Your use of language is powerful and evocative, making this an impactful piece.

In terms of improvement, I would suggest that perhaps including specific examples or scenarios could strengthen the message even further, and make it easier for readers to relate and understand. Additionally, while I appreciate the use of rhyme in your poem, I would encourage you to not prioritize it over the message itself. Sometimes breaking from the rhyme scheme in order to make a stronger point can be more effective than forcing a rhyme that detracts from the overall impact of the poem.

Overall though, I want to say well done for exploring such an important topic in an artistic way. Keep sharing your thoughts and perspectives through your poetry, as it has great potential to inspire change.
