It’s over. No need to pursue

Hasan Johnson 1980 (Peoria Illinois)

Listening to you talk makes me think your crazy
Trying to relate to you but I know you’re the problem
When I leave your company my heart beats so fast
I pray and pray but the pain continues to last
My prayers are unanswered
I consulted a witch
Even though we discussed it and you disagreed with it
I hate how things have become
It’s driving me insane
I told the witch Im cursed
She gave me some crystals and her special tea
After talking to her the devil visited me
Laughing at my folly
It brought him so much joy
I felt let down by God
Disappointed with my request
No results for what I asked
As if He could care less
I return to my ghetto every night to my distress
After seeing all the wealth of the blessed
But I’m blessed too
I’m better than I used to be
I even thank God that I’m not who I used to be
I want more
I’m a man filled with greed
Maybe because I come from poverty
I don’t know what’s next other than paying another bill
I toss and turn every night then leave to seek a thrill
My mind is racing
I’m exhausted from the hunt
When I’m not happy it’s only because I’m getting what I want
