Don’t have to do nothing

Hasan Johnson 1980 (Peoria Illinois)

Just woke up
That’s was all it took
For the officer to kill you without taking a second look
I got one
The officer shouts out loud with glee
He killed a black man that looks like me
He hunts us down knowing he’ll be rewarded
Even if he lies on the information that’s reported
It must be nice to be white without a care in the world
It’s not nice to be hunted since a you were a little boy or girl
If your skin has been kissed by the sun
Chances are you’ll be on the bad side of the gun
All you have to do is wake up
That’s crime enough
Father why forsake us
It’s finished it is done
