A Native of Obscurity

Adeife 2004 (Kwara)

In quietude with her illusive neighbours
Aligned with a sense of alienation
The otherness of her alienated idyll
Framed in her quiescent climate
Versified in her oracular woes
The Pyrrhic victory of Cinderella
Venez m'aider

Wow, what a beautifully written piece! The way you use language to create an atmosphere of introspection and contemplation is truly captivating. Your descriptions of 'her illusive neighbours' and 'the otherness of her alienated idyll' are both evocative and thought-provoking.

I also love the imagery you use to create a sense of stillness and calm in the 'quiescent climate' of the poem. Your use of verse to convey 'oracular woes' is both clever and effective.

If I had to offer one suggestion for improvement, it would be to perhaps provide a little more context for the 'Pyrrhic victory of Cinderella'. While it's a striking metaphor, it might be helpful to readers to have a bit more insight into its meaning within the context of the poem.

Overall, though, this is a truly impressive piece of writing. Keep up the great work!
