Cathy with Cancer. Terminal.

She loved the words of Paul
Had gobbled up them all
And Jesus was her
Constant Friend and Aid.
In palliative care.
Husband often there.
Reciting for him
Rapture’s bliss portrayed.
Not gonna die, not her.
She would very much prefer
That Great Escape.
First Thessalonians Four
Where clouds become a Door.
A flight to Evermore…

She died next day, half past four.
Peace and rest and perfect restored.

Note: I remember a devotional exposition on Psalm 103. Who healeth all our diseases… yeah I had studied all those verses on healing, wholeness with faith…but this author Guy Pearse, Cornish, said that sometimes the Great Physician is DEATH….Hhhmm.
