Today someone changed my life-
they cared about me more than self,
they seen me broken and alone
and asked if I needed help,
before I didn't want to try
I felt I couldn't cope,
at every turn I tried and failed
which made me give up hope,
Today my life was changed-
and it's all because you cared,
you told me that I'm not alone
and lifted burdens that I bared,
I don't know were I'd be today
If you hadn't inspired my drive,
purpose, hope, trust and care-
are the reasons why I'm alive,
not one single day goes by-
I don't think about your gift,
not only did you save a life-
you gave my future a lift,
Today my thoughts are on living
and helping people along the way,
giving back is so important to change
It's made me what I am Today.
