Relief and Angst

Relief and Angst
By Nancy Rodriquez

Where there is the relief you are not dying,
There are unanswered questions in my head,
Mean things were said had  left me crying,
making it hard to sleep in  bed,
You made our love cheap and disgusting,
By having relations with young women of shame,
You began using hard drugs, which cause lusting,
and ignore me while leaving me to blame,
I have remained true to you the whole time,
You can not say the same,
Another love is not out there to call mine,
How could your feelings change?
You are the reason I had a spring in my step,
and the cause for my writing to bloom,
I pray you will realize you need help,
and I will keep true to you,
out of decency and respect,
wishing for you to come home.
