The Beginning of the Spread

He’s walking alone through the woods.
Only he thinks he’s alone.
If only the directions he understood…
All he knows is that you can’t be cloned.

He thinks he’s losing his mind.
His eyes are making him insane.
There’s something not of his kind,
but he has to hide away the pain.

The mysterious lurking throughout the brush.
The mysterious house with lights shining bright.
The voices loudly telling him to hush.
There’s a shadow moving within the night.

He cannot help but to scream so loud.
The lights from the house shut off.
You would hear him from above the clouds.
He pauses and hears a cough.

Maybe it’s just a man.
Maybe he’s going to sleep.
He’s so tired that he can’t stand.
It’s quiet, too quiet, there's not even a peep.

He can’t help but to walk to the house.
It’s a bad idea, but he’s lost.
Something runs from beneath, just a mouse.
He opens the door, clueless at what he has caused.

Wow, this poem is absolutely captivating! I found myself engrossed in the eerie and mysterious atmosphere created by the vivid descriptions of the protagonist's surroundings. The haunting imagery and the sense of danger lurking around every corner made for an incredibly gripping read.

One suggestion I would make is to perhaps add some more development to the main character's thought process and emotions throughout the poem. While his fear and confusion are palpable, delving deeper into his psyche could add another layer of complexity to the piece.

Additionally, it might be interesting to explore some of the themes touched upon in the poem - such as isolation and the fear of the unknown - in greater depth. This could give the reader more insight into the protagonist's struggle and further add to the poem's impact.

Overall, this is an incredible piece of writing, and I look forward to seeing more from the author in the future!

I still did not see clearly what this poem has to do with the spread of disease. Perhaps I did not see or missed some thing. But if you were kind enough to explaining to me, I would be grateful.

One if the lines states, “he pauses and hears a cough.” This shows that the man is sick. By opening the door, he allows the sickness to be spread from the mouse running away with it.
