Nodding Off
Rested in my car
Outside Zehrs Groceries
Light snow falling
Pretty and mesmeric
Wipers on intermittent slow speed
I remember the movie
Greg Kinnear invented the feature
Tried to cut a deal with Ford
They tried to steal the Patent
Long wait until Federal Court.
Greg argued sensibly, and won.
Electrical engineer stuff
Huge monetary damages
Those wipers. Eeyoie. Eeyoie.
Heater running nicely
I conk out, silly little dream follows
I am lost in a strange city
Got separated from a Group
No cash or credit card or directions
What a mess. The embarrassment
Thinking without much sense
About a rescue.
Wakes me up
Too many late nights
Submitting poems
Tired eyes even.
Wipers are laughing now
Eeyoie. Eeyoie.
