FINDING STRENGTH

mad hippie poet 1974 (new jersey)



The only person trying to kill me is me, for I am the only one strong enough to get the damn job done. I speak in cryptic codes that I learned from the lives that I lived before while escaping death every time that bastard came knocking at my bedroom door.

I can not believe how many times I survived my own downfall. Luckily, I had the universe of angels answering my call. I found my strength through every word I heard them sing through the song on the radio. I am so glad it wasn't tuned into an A.M. station telling  me news on how the world was going to end because there were moments I felt that mine would

I have days where I feel like shit, and I am sick of it all. Then I remember the days when all I did was laugh and smile. Ah, the good old times are now telling me, come on, make some new memories because, man, you're not getting any younger, and this is your moment for happiness.
