All That I’ve Stored

Richard Groff 1957 (Pottstown, Pa.)

Your Word to me Lord is all consuming,
Like thunder in my ears as the storms are looming.
The work that I am given to do by men,
Will never compare to you in the end.

The Word that I’m given by you O Lord,
Is everything I need and all that I’ve stored.
And now it comes upon me like a flood,
It cleanses me from all the dirt and the mud.

About the world’s riches I don’t even worry,
For money, power and fame I am in no hurry.
Because where can I go apart from you Lord?
Where can I go to escape from your sword?

The pleasures of this world are at best only fleeting,
When compared with your love; they’re no longer competing.
Abba, Father, I love you, these words of mine true,
Abba Father, I want you I need you I do!

Come quickly my Savior make everything new,
You are the only thing in this world that is true.
